Children’s Ministry

The Children’s Ministry exists to provide a spiritual support to the Godly education and counsel of the children of Grace Cathedral while supporting parents in this area. While it has designs to become progressively more evangelistic in scoop. In years to come, the Children’s Church is primarily designed to service, train and inspire the children of the Adults in the congregation.

Christian Education
 
Christian Education is the Sunday morning component of the Christian Development Department. Sunday School is available for every age group, with the goal of instructing believers and helping them make disciplineship a reality in daily living. Sunday School classes are held every Sunday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Vacation Bible School (VBS) is the evangelical arm of Christian Education and is held one week every July for the children and youth (ages 2-17) of the church and community at large.

Culinary Arts
 
Supports the vision of Grace Cathedral Ministries, by providing hot meals for children’s church and helping those who are going thru transitional periods while they are away from home, as well as, and college students.

Facilities Ministry
 
The Facilities Ministry ensures the cleanliness of the sanctuary, gymnasium, all classrooms and other areas at the church, as well as grounds upkeep and chair set up/breakdown.
 
Hospitality Ministry

Being part of the Hospitality Team requires more than standing at the door shaking hands as people enter. It is their responsibility to help members and friends know that they are welcome and at home. More importantly, it is the team’s goal to make everyone feel the love and peace of God during their worship experience at Grace Cathedral Ministries. Hospitality is best exercised by keeping worshipers informed, directed and serviced prior to and after each service.
 
Intercessory Prayer 

The Intercessory Prayer Ministry consists of individuals who have a heart and passion for interceding for others; their mission is to pray for specific needs, requests and concerns. Intercessions meet around the altar prior to the 8:00 am & 11: 00 am services to pray for the services. Intercessions are also contacted at times to pray for special needs that may arise.
 
Kingdom Fitness Center
 
The Kingdom Fitness Center is a multi-purpose facility designed to meet the spiritual, social, physical and educational needs of the church members and the local community. This modern facility is a place where the entire family, from Senior Citizens to preschoolers, can come for activities such as exercise, tutoring, team sports and much more.
 
Men’s Ministry
 
The Men’s Ministry promotes the spiritual and personal growth of the men through building Christian relationships.  In addition, the group seeks to equip the men by assisting them in activity identifying and using their spiritual gifts, as well as continuing to be leaders in ministry at home, in church and in the community.
 
New Members Ministry

To nurture, embrace, and welcome the new members; to provide effective, professional, quality information and resources to the new member; to make a lasting, positive impression on the new member to signify the heart of our Bishop and First Lady’s love and pastoral care, and to assist the new member in becoming “planted” into the mainstream of our church body is the function of the New Members Ministry.
 
Prison Ministry
 
We firmly believe that if we are going to make a significant and lasting change, a transformation experience must take place. Only then can there be a foundation by which change can be expected, experienced, and endured. The Prison Ministry activities within the prisons and local jails include: Preaching the Word of God. Ministering one on one with those who are in closed custody units, solitary confinement or death row.
 
The Girl Scouts
 
The Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA) is a youth organization for girls in the United States and American girls living abroad. It describes itself as "the world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls." Troop 2357 was started in 2008 and has served a number of girls from the church and the community through community service projects and mentoring from the Girl Scout leaders. The Troop participates in events through the local Mountains to Midlands Council and creates it's own events such as the Father and Daughter Dance and Family Day. We meet each 2nd and 4th Thursday from 6 pm to 7:30pm in the Kingdom Fitness Center, excluding summers. If you are interested in learning more about our troop or would like to volunteer, feel free to attend a meeting.
 
Transportation Ministry

The transportation Ministry makes it possible for persons without transportation to attend any of our services. The Ministry not only helps transport individuals to church and various special events, but also spreads the gospel throughout the community. For transportation, call the church, 773-6497 Ext 8 at least two hours prior to each service.
 
Ushers Ministry
 
Ushers help create an atmosphere of reverence that prepares people to hear and receive the Word of God. They work to maintain order before, during and after service. Ushers assist the Pastor and parishioners, orchestrate movement during service and assist in receiving tithe and offering.
 
Women’s Ministry
 
The Women’s Ministry provides vision and coordination for reaching, teaching and training the women of Grace Cathedral Ministries. Women are empowered to lead and serve, while cultivating their spiritual, physical, emotional and mental development.
